Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (March 24, 2023) – Officers confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on Charleston Boulevard on March 20.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Pearl Avenue around 12:17 PM. Based on a report, the pedestrian was walking eastbound on the north sidewalk of Charleston prior to the crash.
At the same time, a 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling westbound on Charleston and approaching Pearl. Due to unknown reasons, the pedestrian walked off the sidewalk and crossed the Chevrolet’s travel path.
As a result, the pedestrian suffered grave injuries. Crews transported the victim to UMC Trauma by ground ambulance, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The Chevrolet’s driver remained at the collision scene and showed no signs of impairment.
At this point, officers continue to investigate the case.
