Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Highway 101 in San Mateo

 
SAN MATEO, CA (May 2, 2023) – Officers confirmed that a fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Highway 101 in San Mateo on April 29.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just south of Highway 92 at about 11:59 PM. Based on a report, the motorcycle rider was traveling northbound on the highway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the victim collided with a Toyota sedan, causing closures of the northbound lanes of the highway.
 
As a result, the rider died in the incident. Officials did not yet release the deceased’s name, pending kin notification.
 
Officials said the driver of the sedan remained at the scene.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
