Motorcyclist Crashes into Truck on Grand Avenue in Glendale

 
GLENDALE, AZ (April 11, 2023) – The Glendale Police Department confirmed that one person died in a motorcycle accident on Grand Avenue on April 8.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Royal Palm Road around 1:15 PM. Based on a report, the motorcyclist was traveling northwest on Grand prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a semi-truck pulling a trailer was driving southeast. As the truck made a left-hand turn to go east on Royal Palm, it did not yield to the motorcyclist.
 
Subsequently, the victim crashed into the trailer.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
The driver of the truck stayed on the scene after the crash.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
