One Killed after Car Crashes at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center in Austin

 
AUSTIN, TX (February 21, 2024) – Officials confirmed a fatality after a car smashed into the ER at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center on Mopac Expressway on February 13.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened shortly after 5:30 PM. Based on a report, the sedan went completely inside the hospital’s emergency room entrance. It struck the ER doors and an aquarium inside the building.
 
As a result, the driver of the sedan suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Police did not yet release the victim’s identity, pending kin notification.
 
Officials also confirmed that five other people were hurt and crews took four of those individuals to other medical facilities for treatment. One child had critical life-threatening injuries and an adult had serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
 
As of now, the officers are investigating the crash. In addition, no other details are available.
