DUI Suspected in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 92 at Lake Drive in Lake Stevens

 
LAKE STEVENS, WA (December 5, 2022) – Lake Stevens police confirmed that one person died in a car accident on Highway 92 on November 24.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident happened at Lake Drive around 1:18 PM. Based on a report, a man was driving a black Chevrolet Silverado at a high rate of speed in the eastbound lanes of the highway prior to the crash.
 
Subsequently, he crossed the center line and crashed into a Lexus sedan that was heading westbound.
 
As a result, one man was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials did not yet release his name, pending kin notification.
 
Paramedics took two men to a local hospital with serious injuries.
 
Police suspected impairment to be a factor in the collision. As of now, the investigation into the case remains ongoing.
