Ezekiel Sosa and Jonathan Ray Killed in Crash on Highway 137 [Reagan County, TX]

Jonathan Ray, Ezekiel Sosa Identified in Fatal Semi-Truck Crash in Reagan County

 
REAGAN COUNTY, TX (September 11, 2023) – Officers identified 27-year-old Ezekiel Sosa of Big Lake and 38-year-old Jonathan Charles Ray of Bay Springs who died in a crash on Highway 137 on August 31.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened about 12 miles north of Big Lake around 2:40 PM. Based on a report, Sosa was driving a semi-truck south on the highway prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, Ray was also traveling in a semi-truck north on the same highway. Due to unknown reasons, Sosa drove on to the wrong side of the road and struck Ray’s truck, causing both trucks to catch fire.
 
As a result, both Sosa and Ray sustained grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
