Marry Hernandez, Eugenio Hernandez Killed in Chilton Semi-Truck Accident

 
CHILTON, TX (December 11, 2024) — Two people, Eugenio Hernandez and Marry Hernandez, died in a semi-truck accident on Monday, November 25.
 
The Texas Department of Public Safety said the accident happened at about 4:00 p.m. on FM-935 near Highway 7.
 
When troopers arrived, they discovered that a Freightliner truck tractor semi-trailer was traveling eastbound on Highway 7. Then it collided with the Buick Enclave that turned into its path from FM 935.
 
Officials pronounced the Buick driver dead at the scene. They identified them as 86-year-old Eugenio Hernandez, of Victoria.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics brought a passenger in the Buick to Baylor Scott and White in Temple. Medical officers later pronounced her dead. Authorities identified her as 72-year-old Marry Hernandez, of Victoria.
 
Authorities said they have notified the next of kin of the deceased victims.
 
The investigation of the incident is still underway.
