Ervin Peter Causes Double-Fatality Crash on Highway 395 in Reno

 
RENO, NV (July 14, 2023) – Officers arrested 34-year-old Ervin Ermun Peter after a fatal car crash on Highway 395 on July 4.
 
According to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, the collision near the North McCarran Boulevard exit around 11:15 PM. Based on a report, Peter was driving a Honda sedan southbound on the highway at a high rate of speed.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he lost control of the vehicle which rotated, crossed the travels lanes and entered the dirt area where it overturned just past the North McCarran Boulevard exit.
 
As a result, two of his passengers died in the incident.
 
Authorities suspected impairment and booked Peter into the Washoe County Jail.
 
At this point, officers continue to investigate the case.
