Ernest Costilla Identified in Fatal Austin Motorcycle Accident
AUSTIN, TX (December 12, 2022) – The Austin Police Department identified 56-year-old Ernest Costilla as the victim who died in a motorcycle accident in the 300 block of Airport Boulevard on December 6.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 5:35 PM. Based on a report, a sedan was traveling north in the outside lane prior to the crash.
Due to unknown reasons, Costilla tried to merge into the lane. Subsequently, Costilla hit the sedan, ejecting him from the motorcycle.
As a result, Costilla died on the scene.
The driver of the sedan stayed on the scene and cooperated with the officers.
