Erica Miller Dies after Ash Fork DUI Hit-and-Run on 4th Street and Park Avenue
ASH FORK, AZ (August 22, 2024) — A 47-year-old woman identified as Erica Miller died in a DUI hit-and-run on Saturday, August 10.
According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, they received reports of a woman struck by a car near 4th Street and Park Avenue at about 3:00 a.m.
Responding deputies administered life-saving procedures on the victim who they identified as Miller. However, she still succumbed to her injuries and they pronounced her dead at the scene.
Soon after, YCSO received a call from a woman who said her 16-year-old daughter was in a crash. Deputies responded to their home and discovered a vehicle with significant damage. After that, they asked questions to the teen driver and her passenger.
Deputies determined that the teenage girl was involved in the crash and was under the influence at the time.
They arrested her on multiple charges. Some of them include negligent homicide, manslaughter, endangerment, leaving the scene of a crash, and underage DUI. She may face more charges as the investigation continues.
