Enrike Navarro and Noemi Crispin Killed in El Paso Hit-and-Run

 
EL PASO, TX (March 11, 2024) — Two people, 34-year-old Enrike Javier Navarro and 40-year-old Noemi Crispin, died in a hit-and-run on Saturday, February 24.
 
According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, the accident took place along the 4600 block of Turf Road near Montana Avenue.
 
EPCSO said that at around 10:00 a.m., 30-year-old Adrian James Gonzalez drove northbound on Turf Road at a high rate of speed. Then he fatally struck two individuals walking along the shoulder of the road. After that, Gonzalez then went back on the road and continued traveling southbound.
 
Authorities found Navarro lying face down and unconscious just off the roadway. They also found Crispin in a dirt area east of the roadway at about 20 feet south from where they found Navarro.
 
Authorities pronounced Crispin dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics rushed Navarro to the Hospitals of Providence East Campus. He died at around 10:35 a.m.
 
EPCSO deputies followed the tire tracks from the scene to a house along the 4400 block of Turf Road, where they discovered Gonzalez.
 
Officials arrested Gonzalez later that day. They booked him into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a capital murder charge. He is currently held on a $1 million bond.
