MARANA, AZ (April 29, 2024) — Ema Gallego suffered fatal injuries in a train accident on Frontage Road on Friday, April 12.
 
According to the Marana Police, the fatal crash involving a train occurred on Frontage Road between Avra Valley Road and Tangerine Road at around 8:15 p.m.
 
Marana Police said Gallego drove a sedan into a train at the crossing. She died at the scene of the crash.
 
Authorities have not released if impairment contributed as a factor in the accident.
 
Officers closed Westbound Frontage Road following the incident. It has since reopened.
