Elizabeth Standefer, 8-Year-Old Killed in Peoria Rollover Crash
PEORIA, AZ (November 7, 2024) — 45-year-old Elizabeth Paola Standefer and her 8-year-old son died in an accident on Saturday, October 26.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the solo-vehicle rollover accident happened on Highway 74 near Quintero Lane and the Quintero Golf Club at about 6:15 p.m.
According to DPS spokesperson, a Chevrolet Tahoe traveled eastbound on Highway 74. Then, for undetermined reasons, the SUV left the roadway to the right. After that, the Tahoe overturned, ejecting the child.
Responding officers pronounced Standefer and her son dead at the scene. DPS said they were both from Phoenix.
Officials continue to investigate the incident.
