Elizabeth McAloon Identified in Fatal Crash on Highway 60 in Apache Junction

 
APACHE JUNCTION, AZ (January 24, 2024) – Officials identified 28-year-old Elizabeth McAloon who died in a wrong-way crash on Highway 60 on January 21.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Gold Field Road. Based on the report, a blue pickup truck was driving across all lanes and traveling the wrong way on the road.
 
Shortly after, the truck hit McAloon’s SUV.
 
As a result, McAloon and her 7-year-old daughter sustained serious injuries. Emergency crews transported them to the hospitals, where McAloon died. Her daughter is now in a non-life-threatening condition.
 
The truck driver, Adam Parker of Peoria, suffered serious injuries.
 
Police said his blood alcohol content was .263 and he had open containers of alcohol in the vehicle and had two prior DUI convictions. He is now facing charges of second-degree murder, aggravated assault, child abuse, and circumstances to cause death or serious injury.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
