LOS ANGELES, CA (January 11, 2024) — Elias Johnson died following a hit-and-run on Western Avenue late Monday night, January 1.

The fatal incident occurred near 247th Place at around 11:00 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Authorities stated that 26-year-old Johnson, a homeless man, walked across the street when a northbound car hit him.

The force of impact left Johnson down on the road as two other vehicles ran over him.

Johnson died at the scene.

Meanwhile, all of the motorists involved fled the collision site.
