RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA (December 5, 2022) — A bicyclist was hurt after a crash on Santa Margarita Parkway and El Paseo intersection on Friday morning, November 25.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department dispatched deputies to the scene at around 11:00 a.m.

Authorities did not disclose the details leading up to the incident but confirmed that a 71-year-old rode a bicycle at the intersection and sustained serious injuries.

The cause and circumstances behind the crash remain under investigation. However, officials are also looking into the factors surrounding the crash.
