Edward Montgomery Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 95 in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (February 6, 2024) — A 39-year-old man identified as Edward Lee Montgomery, of Las Vegas, died in a motorcycle crash on Friday, January 26.
 
According to Nevada State Police, the accident took place on Highway 95, just south of Lake Mead Boulevard at about 5:40 p.m.
 
The initial investigation showed that Montgomery rode a 1993 Honda motorcycle at a high rate of speed southbound on Highway 95. He was in the far-left travel lane, and then he tried to cross all five travel lanes.
 
After that, the motorcycle then struck the back of a vehicle. The impact ejected the motorcyclist from the bike.
 
EMS responders transported Montgomery to a local hospital where medical personnel pronounced him dead.
 
The SUV driver remained on the scene and cooperated with law enforcement.
 
Officers closed the roads in the area. They reopen at 7:35 p.m.
 
The incident marks NSP Southern Command’s fifth crash-related fatality in 2024.
