Eduardo Carranco Identified in Fatal Crash Involving Two Vehicles on Rainbow Boulevard at Smoke Ranch Road in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, NV (March 31, 2023) – Officers identified 26-year-old Eduardo Rojas Carranco of North Las Vegas as the victim who died in a crash on Rainbow Boulevard on March 28.
 
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Smoke Ranch Road around 5:47 AM.
 
Based on a report, two vehicles collided near the intersection. First responders but did not release the manner of the wreck.
 
As a result, emergency crews pronounced one person dead at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
There is no word on other injuries at this time.
 
Crews closed Rainbow at Smoke Ranch in a northbound direction and at Peak Drive in a southbound direction. Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
 
At this point, officers continue to investigate the case. In addition, no other details are available.
