Driver Dwight Ligon, Passenger Edna Ligon Injured after Car Crashes into Fallen Tree in Trinity County
TRINITY COUNTY, TX (March 1, 2024) – The Trinity County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that two people suffered injuries in an accident on Farm-to-Market Road 2262 on February 17.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at 6:00 a.m. when a 2009 Ford Focus traveled south and struck a tree that had fallen in the road.
The driver, 42-year-old Dwight Ligon of Diboll, was transported to CHI St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. His passenger, 57-year-old Edna Ligon, was also transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the wreck.
As of now, the officers are investigating the crash. However, no other details are available.
