Dulce Salinas Killed, 18-Year-Old Matthew Porras Injured in Car Crash on Highway 385 [Ector County, TX]

Dulce Salinas Identified in Fatal Accident on Highway 385 in Ector County

 
ECTOR COUNTY, TX (November 9, 2023) – Officials identified 40-year-old Dulce Salinas who died in a car crash on Highway 385 on October 28.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 1:00 PM. Based on a report, Salinas was driving northbound on the highway prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, 18-year-old Matthew Porras was driving behind her. Due to unknown reasons, the front of Porras’ truck collided with Salinas from the back. The collision caused Porras’ vehicle to roll over multiple times.
 
As a result, Salinas sustained grave injuries in the incident. An Ector County Medical Examiner pronounced her dead at the scene.
 
Porras sustained injuries in the crash. Crews transported him to Medical Center Hospital in stable condition.
