One Killed in DUI Crash on South Valley View Boulevard at Hacienda Avenue in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 27, 2023) – Las Vegas police confirmed that a DUI driver was involved in a fatal crash on South Valley View Boulevard on July 18.
 
According to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Hacienda Avenue around 10:00 AM. Based on a report, a 1995 Ford F150 was on South Valley View Boulevard, approaching the intersection.
 
At the same time, a black 2018 Nissan Titan was traveling on the north side of the road. Due to unknown reasons, the Nissan ran the red light and collided with the Ford.
 
As a result, a 42-year-old woman sustained grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release her name, pending kin notification.
 
Crews transported another person to a local hospital with minor injuries.
 
The driver of the Nissan exhibited clues of impairment and was booked for DUI-related
charges.
 
At this point, officers continue to investigate the case. In addition, no other details are available.
