Woman Killed in DUI Pedestrian Accident on East Pima Street in Tucson

 
TUCSON, AZ (April 13, 2023) – The Tucson Police Department confirmed that a woman died in a DUI pedestrian accident in the 4500 block of East Pima Street on April 8.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash happened shortly before 2:00 AM. Based on a report, the pedestrian was lying in the roadway with a blanket at the time of the accident.
 
As she got up, a Dodge Ram that was traveling east on Pima Street hit her.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews took her to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where she died.
 
An officer from the Impaired Driver Enforcement Unit assisted with the investigation and determined the driver of the Dodge Ram was impaired by alcohol and/or drugs at the time of the collision.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
