One Fatally Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash on Highway 18 near Raging River
ISSAQUAH, WA (June 17, 2024) — One person suffered fatal injuries in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 18 on Wednesday, May 29.
According to a post by the Eastbound Fire & Rescue on X at 7:22 p.m., their crews responded to a fatal accident on Highway 18 near Raging River and milepost 26.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson said the causing driver crossed the centerline while traveling eastbound on Highway 18. After that, it hit two other cars. The impact killed the driver.
Reports have not released the identity of the deceased in the incident pending notification of loved ones.
Trooper Johnson said they closed the eastbound and westbound lanes of Highway 18 from Issaquah and Hobart Road to the 90 Freeway. They said the closure would last for nearly three hours on Wednesday evening.
Eastbound Fire & Rescue advised motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
