Driver Arrested, Three Injured in DUI Crash on 90 Freeway
SEATTLE, WA (July 24, 2023) — Three people sustained injuries in an alleged DUI accident on 90 Freeway on Thursday, July 20.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the single-vehicle accident took place in the HOV lane just north of the 90 Freeway at 2:40 a.m.
Footage from a WSDOT camera showed a vehicle with a lot of front-end damage. The car also faced the wrong direction against a barrier.
According to troopers, there were four people inside the vehicle. Paramedics transported three of them to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver did not sustain injuries. Officers arrested the driver for investigation of DUI and vehicular assault.
Authorities closed the southbound lanes of the 5 Freeway. They reopened all the closed lanes at about 5:20 a.m.
