Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident in Gilbert

 
QUEEN CREEK, AZ (January 26, 2023) – The Queen Creek Police Department arrested a driver involved in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Power Road on January 7.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Cloud Road shortly before 10:00 PM. Based on a report, the suspect struck a pedestrian and left the scene.
 
QCPD officers and the Pinal County’s Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Unit responded and officers found the victim wandering down the road.
 
As a result, the pedestrian sustained significant but non-life-threatening injuries.
 
QCPD detectives with help from the Gilbert Police Department and the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office identified and arrested a 23-year-old Mesa man as the hit-and-run driver. They booked him booked into the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office jail on two separate felony charges.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
