Driver Crashes into Car in Parking Lot near Bolder Boulder in Boulder
BOULDER, CO (June 10, 2024) – The Boulder Police Department arrested a driver following an accident on Pearl Street on May 27.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened at approximately 8:15 AM. Based on a report, a Boulder police officer stopped the man in the parking lot of Whole Foods Market on Pearl Street after getting reports of him acting strangely near barricades for the Bolder Boulder race.
Witnesses said the man driving a dark-colored Ford Explorer was wearing a ski mask and ran two stop signs. He stopped and talked to the bicycle officer before driving away. While exiting the parking lot, the man hit another car in the lot and narrowly missed hitting a woman who was walking.
Consequently, officers were able to stop his vehicle and arrest him.
