Drake Remlinger Killed and Megan Amento Hospitalized after Chelan County Rollover Crash

 
CHELAN COUNTY, WA (September 3, 2024) — 30-year-old Snohomish resident Drake Remlinger died in a rollover crash on Friday, August 23.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the single-car rollover accident happened just after 7:00 p.m. on Blewett Pass.
 
Washington State Patrol said Remlinger drove a 2015 Mercedes GLC northbound on Highway 97, approximately five miles from the summit. Then the vehicle lost traction in the rain. It caused it to flip over before it came to rest on its top 30 feet down an embankment.
 
Responding officers pronounced Remlinger dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics transported the passenger to Confluence Health Hospital with unknown injuries. Authorities later identified her as 24-year-old Megan G. Amento, of Kirkland.
 
Troopers said Remlinger wore a seatbelt. However, there are no reports if Amento wore her seatbelt.
 
Authorities continue to investigate whether DUI played a role in the crash. Troopers believe Remlinger’s vehicle traveled too fast for the roadway conditions.
 
Reports said Remlinger was the CEO and founder of The Remlinger Group, a prominent real estate company in Kirkland, Washington.
