74-Year-Old Donna Burgess Identified in Fatal Crash on Highway 97A in Chelan

 
CHELAN, WA (November 11, 2022) – Police identified 74-year-old Donna Burgess of Manson as the victim who died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 97A on October 29.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near the Chelan Municipal Airport.
 
Based on a report, Burgess was driving her 2014 GMC Sierra northbound on the highway at the time of the crash. At the same time, Scott E. Tomlinson of Buckley was driving a 2005 Dodge Ram southbound.
 
Due to unknown reasons, Burgess failed to yield to the right of way and she collided with the Dodge while attempting to turn left to merge into the highway.
 
As a result, Burgess later died at the hospital.
 
Tomlinson was not hurt in the incident.
 
As of now, no other details are available. However, an investigation is ongoing.
