Gian King Killed in Bremerton Multi-Vehicle Crash

 
BREMERTON, WA (November 11, 2022) – Police identified 18-year-old Gian King as the victim who died in a multi-vehicle crash on Kitsap Way on November 6.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at National Avenue. Based on a report, King was a in a white Honda Accord that was stopped at the light prior to the crash. At the same time, a red Kia sedan was coming down the hill at a high rate of speed.
 
Police said the driver of the Kia had likely fallen asleep, causing the vehicle to roll along the sidewalk and slam into the right rear of the stopped Honda. Subsequently, the Kia and Honda then struck three other vehicles. The Kia then rolled over in the lanes.
 
As a result, King died at Harborview Medical Center.
 
Two other people in the Honda and the driver of the Kia suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Crews took them to Harrison Medical Center for treatment.
 
The Bremerton Police Department believed the Kia’s sleepy driver was the cause of the crash. Speed was also a factor in the collision. As of now, the investigation into the case remains ongoing.
