Donald Dutton, Debbi Kempf Identified in Motorcycle Accident on Weld County Road 32 in Mead

 
MEAD, CO (July 29, 2024) – The Mead Police Department identified 50-year-old Donald Dutton of Palmer Lake and 58-year-old Debbi Kempf of Denver who suffered injuries in a motorcycle accident on Weld County Road 32 on July 6.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, Dutton was driving a motorcycle with Kempf when he tried to pass a Subaru as it was slowing down.
 
As the Subaru started to turn, Dutton hit the vehicle’s rear passenger tire. The impact ejected the victim and Kempf off the roadway.
 
As a result, both victims suffered serious injuries in the incident. Emergency crews took Dutton to Longs Peak Hospital before medics airlifted him to the University of Colorado Anschutz in Aurora with life-threatening injuries.
 
Crews transported Kempf to the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland. Neither of the motorcycle occupants was wearing protective gear at the time of the crash.
 
The driver of the Subaru was not hurt.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
