Diana Gonzalez Killed and Jason Aycock Hospitalized after Humble Car Crash

 
HUMBLE, TX (June 7, 2024) — A woman identified as Diana Grace Gonzalez died in a car accident on Sunday, May 26.
 
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at the 14300 block of Smith Road near Colony Lane on Sunday morning.
 
An investigation determined that 43-year-old Jason Aycock drove a blue 2013 Nissan Versa southbound on Smith Road. Gonzalez was a front-seat passenger in the vehicle.
 
Investigators said Aycock failed to stay in his lane and went to the left side of the roadway into a grassy ditch. Then he struck a concrete driveway head-on. Lastly, he struck a tree and the vehicle came to a stop.
 
According to HCSO officials, Aycock and Gonzalez did not wear seatbelts when the crash happened.
 
Gonzalez died at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics brought Aycock to the hospital in fair condition.
 
Officials said the investigation into Aycock’s signs of intoxication is ongoing. As of writing, there are no filed criminal charges.
