Denis Pineda Killed after Brownsville Car Accident on South Frontage Road

 
BROWNSVILLE, TX (September 16, 2024) — 20-year-old Denis Joel Pineda sustained fatal injuries in a car accident on Sunday, September 8.
 
According to the Brownsville Police Department, the incident happened at around 10:41 p.m. at the 2300 block of South Frontage Road near West Alton Gloor Boulevard.
 
Brownsville Police said Pineda drove a silver Infiniti on South Frontage Road. Then he lost control of the car. After that, the vehicle overturned, and a second vehicle struck it.
 
Authorities later confirmed that Pineda died due to injuries sustained in the collision.
 
There were no reports of other injuries in the accident.
 
Officials ordered an autopsy and toxicology report. Results from these are still pending.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the fatal crash.
