Debra Lee Dunn Dies in Cromberg Car Accident on Highway 70
CROMBERG, CA (December 5, 2022) — 63-year-old Debra Lee Dunn died after a car crash on Highway 70 on Tuesday afternoon, November 29.
The collision occurred near Camp Layman Road at about 1:56 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. Authorities said a 2019 Nissan Armada driven by 43-year-old Guadalupe Ventura Perez traveled westbound on Highway 70.
There, she encountered a group of deer blocking the road. In an attempt to prevent a crash, Perez slowed down the Armada before coming to a full stop. However, a trailing 2005 Nissan Sentra operated by 67-year-old Charles Dunn did not react in time to the sudden stop.
The Sentra ended up slamming into the rear end of the Armada as the force of impact sent both vehicles to the north shoulder.
Debra, who was the right front passenger inside the Sentra, sustained fatal injuries. She died at the scene.
Both drivers involved survived the collision and emerged uninjured.
No other information is available at this time. Investigation is still ongoing.
We would like to extend our condolences to the bereaved loved ones of Debra Dunn.
