David Valverde Dies after Modesto Pedestrian Accident on Scenic Drive
MODESTO, CA (November 9, 2022) — David Valverde died after being struck by an alleged street racer in a pedestrian accident on Scenic Drive on Friday, October 28.
The fatal collision occurred east of Bodem Street, according to the Modesto Police. Authorities said the 66-year-old Valverde walked his way home from a high school football game when a motorcyclist racing a BMW collided into him.
The motorcycle ended up slamming into the curb, ejecting the rider in the process.
As a result, Valverde died from his injuries.
Meanwhile, the motorcyclist survived the incident with undisclosed injuries.
The factors surrounding the crash remain under investigation at this time.
