David Pinkerton Killed in Phoenix Hit-and-Run on 40th Street and Oak Street

 
PHOENIX, AZ (September 2, 2024) — A man identified as 46-year-old David Pinkerton died in a hit-and-run on Saturday, August 17.
 
According to the Phoenix police officers, the accident took place near 40th Street and Oak Street at about 1:45 a.m.
 
When officers arrived at the scene, they found an injured man on the road they later identified as Pinkerton.
 
Emergency responders brought Pinkerton to the hospital for treatment. However, he later died from sustained injuries in the incident.
 
Police said officers found out that the vehicle that allegedly struck Pinkerton fled after the crash.
 
Authorities have not yet released a description of the suspect vehicle.
 
The investigation of the crash is still underway.
