David Phillips Struck, Killed by Hit-and-Run Vehicle in Denton

 
DENTON, TX (November 30, 2022) Denton Police officers identified 62-year-old David Lee Phillips as the victim who died in a pedestrian accident on University Drive on November 24.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Bell Avenue around 9:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, a vehicle struck the victim just north of Texas Woman’s University. Subsequently, the vehicle fled the scene, without rendering aid to the victim.
 
As a result, paramedics transported the victim to a hospital, where he died.
 
Police described the suspected vehicle as an unknown color 2007 to 2009 Hyundai Elantra that may have front-end damage. As of now, the crash remains under investigation.
