One Killed in DART Bus-Truck Crash on Lawnview Avenue in Dallas

 
DALLAS, TX (December 21, 2022) – The Dallas Police Department confirmed that one person died in a DART bus crash on Lawnview Avenue on December 17.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Scyene Road around 8:50 PM. Based on a report, the bus ran through the intersection.
 
Subsequently, it crashed into a truck. In addition, the collision knocked over some power lines, causing a small grass fire.
 
Dallas Fire Rescue crews arrived and extricated one person from the truck. The victim died in the incident. Officials did not yet release the deceased’s name, pending kin notification.
 
The bus was not carrying passengers but two occupants suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Paramedics took them to local hospitals for treatment.
 
As of now, an investigation is still ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
