Daniel Sander Identified in Fatal Car Crash in Oak Harbor
OAK HARBOR, WA (April 6, 2023) – Officers identified 23-year-old Daniel Sander as the victim who died in a crash on Highway 20 on April 2.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near San de Fuca. Based on a report, Sander was a passenger of a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Andrew Murray.
They were traveling southbound on the highway at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, his vehicle left the road, hit a power pole, and rolled multiple times into a field.
As a result, Sander suffered severe injuries and died at the scene.
Murray and one passenger were injured and transported to Whidbey Health for treatment of injuries.
WSP says the cause of the crash is still under investigation. At this point, no other details are available.
