Daniel Luna Identified in Fatal Crash on Highway 107 at Sun Flower Road in Edinburg

 
EDINBURG, TX (October 26, 2022) – Police identified Daniel Luna as the victim who died in a car accident on Highway 107 on October 24.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Sunflower Road around 5:48 PM.
 
Based on a report, Luna was driving a tan Jeep Grand Cherokee toward the turnaround at the intersection prior to the crash. Approaching the intersection, he failed to yield to the right of way while turning left at a yield sign. Subsequently, the Jeep collided with a 2008 gray Silverado.
 
As a result, Luna died in the incident.
 
One of the passengers in Luna’s Jeep was airlifted to a local hospital in critical condition. In addition, crews transported another passenger to a local hospital with minor injuries.
 
The conditions of the driver and passenger of the Chevrolet did not require hospitalization.
 
As of now, the fatal crash remains under investigation.
