Daniel Garcia Identified in Fatal Crash on North Main Street in Taylor

 
TAYLOR, TX (January 17, 2023) – The Taylor Police Department identified 42-year-old Daniel Garcia of Pflugerville as the victim who died in a major car crash in the 4300 block of North Main Street on January 7.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened shortly after 11:00 PM. Based on a report, Garcia was driving a 2016 Chevrolet pickup south on Main Street prior to the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he crossed into the northbound lanes and hit a 2003 GMC Yukon head-on.
 
As a result, Garcia died at the scene.
 
Two people from Jarrell who were in the Yukon suffered serious injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported the victims to a hospital for treatment.
 
Police said there were open containers of alcoholic beverages in both vehicles.
 
As of now, the crash remains under investigation.
