Cynthia Boone, 18-Year-Old Miraj Parson Killed in Accident on East Oltorf Street [Austin, TX]

Miraj Parson, Cynthia Boone Identified in Fatal Austin Accident

 
AUSTIN, TX (June 17, 2024) – Austin police identified 41-year-old Cynthia Boone and 18-year-old Miraj Parson who died in an accident on East Oltorf Street on June 1.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 9:18 PM. Based on a report, Boone was driving a sedan with Parson during the crash.
 
When a tractor-trailer made a left turn out of a shopping center, the sedan hit it.
 
As a result, Boone and Parson sustained grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported them to a local hospital, where they later died.
 
Two other passengers in the sedan were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
 
The tractor-trailer’s driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the officers.
 
Police said impairment was not a factor. They ask anyone with information about this crash to contact APD’s Vehicular Homicide unit at 512-974-8111.
