Bicycle Accident on Power Inn Road Leaves a Cyclist Dead
SACRAMENTO, CA (December 21, 2022) – A 54-year-old woman was killed in a bicycle accident on Power Inn Road on Thursday, December 15.
According to California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at approximately 5:30 p.m. near Creeping Willow Lane. Based on reports, a 29-year-old Citrus man was driving a vehicle and at some point struck the victim who was on a bike.
After that, the woman was thrown into a drainage ditch on the right side of the roadway.
The Sacramento Fire Department personnel transported the victim to the hospital, where she later died.
The involved driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities. At this point, drugs and alcohol are not considered a factor. However, the investigation continues.
