Crystal Mendoza Killed in Valley View Car Accident on 35 Freeway

 
VALLEY VIEW, TX (February 28, 2024) — 22-year-old Crystal Mendoza, of Dallas, died in a car crash on Sunday, February 18.
 
According to Texas Highway Patrol troopers, the incident occurred just before 4:00 a.m. on 35 Freeway in Valley View.
 
Trooper Tony DeLaCerda said 23-year-old Isaac Rebollar-Gonzalez, of Little Elm, drove south on the 35 Freeway through Valley View. Then his 2017 Toyota Camry was involved in a solo car crash.
 
Rebollar-Gonzalez and his passenger, Mendoza, got out of the vehicle and stood near it. Then a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 21-year-old Maliki Howard, of Bethany, Louisiana — struck the vehicle.
 
After that, it also struck both Rebollar-Gonzalez and Mendoza.
 
Emergency responders rushed Mendoza to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton. Medical personnel declared her dead.
 
Paramedics rushed Rebollar-Gonzalez to Medical City Denton with critical injuries. They also transported Howard to the same hospital with serious injuries.
