Cristobal Espino and Robert Rocha Dead after Sports Car Accident in Dallas

 
DALLAS, TX (December 23, 2024) — Two people, Cristobal Flores Espino and Robert Leroy Rocha, died in a car accident on Monday, December 9.
 
The accident occurred a little after 3:00 p.m. near the intersection of Abrams Road and Royal Lane in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas.
 
Dallas Police said a black McLaren 570S Coupé collided with a gold Toyota and then smashed into a tree. The impact caused the sports car to split in half and killed its driver and passenger.
 
Officials later identified them as 29-year-old Cristobal Flores Espino and 31-year-old Robert Leroy Rocha.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics brought a woman who drove the Toyota to a local hospital with minor injuries.
 
It is unclear what led to the initial crash between the Toyota and the McLaren.
 
Footage and images from the showed the McLaren extraordinarily split in half. The front part of the sports car wrapped around the tree. Meanwhile, the back half is on the road about 30 feet away.
 
The investigation of the incident is still underway.
