Corcoran CDCR Officer Misti Clark Identified in Fatal Tulare County Crash

 
TULARE COUNTY, CA (May 24, 2023) – Officers identified 39-year-old Misti Clark, a Corcoran CDCR officer, who died in a crash on Avenue 56 on May 18.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Road 168. Based on a report, Clark was driving a Honda westbound on Avenue 56 prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a big rig was eastbound on the same road with Antonio Barietagonzalez driving a Chevrolet behind it. Due to unknown reasons, Barietagonzalez attempted to pass the big rig and crashed into Clark’s Honda.
 
As a result, Clark was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The Chevrolet caught fire, but Barietagonzalez was able to escape the burning vehicle.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
