Ronnie Vigil Arrested in Fatal DUI Accident in Brighton

 
BRIGHTON, CO (August 20, 2024) — Authorities arrested 25-year-old Ronnie Vigil after a fatal DUI accident on Saturday, July 27.
 
According to the Brighton Police Department, the crash happened on the 4500 block of Southern Street near 50th Avenue at about 2:45 a.m.
 
Brighton Police said the driver of a Chevrolet Tahoe hit a 50-year-old man who had exited the same vehicle earlier.
 
Officers arrested Vigil, who was the driver of the vehicle. He faces charges of vehicular homicide and driving under the influence.
 
They later released Vigil from the Adams County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
 
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim pending family notification.
