Cleofas Aguilar Dies after Las Vegas Car Crash on Interstate 15

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (November 15, 2022) — Cleofas Aguilar died after being involved in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 on Tuesday, October 18.

The fatal collision occurred south of Cheyenne Avenue at about 2:02 p.m., according to the Nevada State Police. Authorities said a utility truck traveled along northbound I-15 when it failed to slow down while approaching traffic.

The truck then slammed into the rear end of a red pickup truck, driven by the 68-year-old Aguilar.

As a result of the first crash, a chain-reaction collision occurred. The force of impact sent Aguilar’s vehicle into a tan-colored SUV before the later collided into a white box truck.

Aguilar died at the scene, officials confirmed.

Police did not release any additional information about the accident at this time. However, investigators continue to look into the factors surrounding the crash.
