Christian Wilch Fatally Injured in Two-Car Accident on Deer Valley Road and 27th Avenue

 
PHOENIX, AZ (December 5, 2023) — A man identified as 60-year-old Christian Wilch died in a two-car crash on Friday, November 10.
 
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the accident happened at about 6:22 a.m. at the intersection of Deer Valley Road and 27th Avenue.
 
When emergency responders arrived, they discovered a vehicle that crashed into a light pole with the man inside. Wilch, who was the man inside the car, died on the scene of the crash.
 
Paramedics transported the woman driving the other vehicle to the hospital with minor injuries. Her identity was not immediately available.
 
Detectives said that Wilch tried to make a left turn from Deer Valley Road into a private drive. Then struck a vehicle traveling westbound.
 
Police said the driver of the other vehicle did not show any signs of impairment.
 
Police continue to investigate what caused the crash.
