Child Killed after Off-Road Vehicle Crash on Highway 169 in Moapa Valley
LAS VEGAS, NV (December 18, 2024) — A child died following an off-road vehicle crash on Highway 169 on Friday, December 6.
According to Nevada State Police, the incident occurred on Highway 169 and Bowman Road at around 6:02 p.m.
Nevada Police said the crash involved a vehicle and an off-road four-wheeler. In addition, they confirmed a child died at the scene. Paramedics also transported a second child to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
Responding officers diverted traffic through Lake Mead Boulevard or Valley of Fire Road for residents in Logandale and Overton. They also advised all south traffic on the 15 Freeway from the Mesquite area to take Valley of Fire Road Exit 75.
As of writing, officials have not released the identities of those involved or how the incident occurred.
The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol handles the investigation of the accident. They will release additional information once it becomes available.
