PHOENIX, AZ (November 3, 2023) — 60-year-old Chery Lowe died after a hit-and-run near 31st Avenue and Campbell Avenue on Wednesday, November 1.
 
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to reports of a crash at about 5:45 a.m.
 
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Lowe suffering from serious injuries. Fire personnel responded and then pronounced her dead at the scene.
 
Detectives said Lowe was crossing mid-block when a vehicle struck her and fled the area.
